March 21 is a day of celebration for Ronaldinho, but this year he’ll be spending his birthday behind bars.
The Brazilian has turned 40 years of age, but is currently in custody in Paraguay after being caught with a false passport.
When he celebrated his 30th birthday he was still playing at the top level as he was at AC Milan at that time, after having spent five years at Barcelona, where he won two LaLiga titles, two Supercopa de Espana titles, one Champions League and one Ballon d’Or.
Yet the Brazilian’s career at the top level was short-lived and he left his throne at the Camp Nou behind for Lionel Messi.
He eventually moved back to Brazil, but has had various struggles and his stint in prison is just the latest of these.
