True Life Story: Cecile And The Agony Of Womanhood – 8

Cecile woke up, looking at her surrounding she didn’t know how she got there, she was confused what happening and she noticed a young man sleeping on the couch.

Damian heard something, he woke up at alert, looking at his surroundings, he remembered what happened last night, he saw that she was awake and he went closer to her slowly.

‘You are in the hospital’, Damian said.

She looked dazed, what had happened for her to have ended up in a hospital, then it hit her.

‘My daughter, where is she?’, said Cecile.

She tried to get down from the bed, but couldn’t, she felt dizzy and a head ache, she almost fell to the ground from the bed. Damian caught her and helped her up to the bed.

‘Where do you think, you are going, you need to rest, you almost got ran over my a car, but you are fine, you suffered a little shock that’s what the doctor said.’

‘Please I need to see my daughter’

‘You have a daughter’. Damian asked surprisingly, he would never have imagined that she had a daughter, she doesn’t look like a mother but you never know.

‘Calm down, I will give you my phone to call your family to tell them you are OK’.


‘Go speak with the Doctor’ Cecile said.

Damian left her side and went out of the room.

Cecile dialed her mother’s number, it rang and rang but she didn’t pick.

Nkechi was worried about her daughter, Cecile was very worried too about her own daughter who has been hospitalized but she didn’t know that her mother has called her uncle and he has paid for the bills.

Nkechi has told her daughter that the hospital bill was a little matter to be resolved.

Nkechi has prayed that her daughter is safe. She took her hand bag, she took her phone, she has been in the hospital take care of her grandchild and she checked her phone to find an unknown number, that strange on her phone

‘My mum isn’t answering the phone’ said Cecile to Damian.

‘Maybe she is busy, she will call back later, you will be discharge this evening’ said Damian.

‘Please, let me go’ Cecile sounded desperate.

‘It will be evening soon, rest so that the medication will take effect’ Damian said feeling concerned.
